Still, Ms. Gaudet-Smet drew my attention to this fact and since I walk in the fields of my Patlin to identify and learn to recognize the indigenous medicinal plants ... and less native (who arrived Ave imports ...). During my adolescence, many existing plants including a variety of chamomile, yarrow, yarrow, St. John's wort, mullein, chicory, etc..
studies, work and mandates extended abroad meant that I stopped this activity for at least 8 years. Then during the holidays I went back to this activity. To my dismay, I quickly realized that the mass monoculture had completely or almost several varieties of medicinal plants. I took the summer to inventory all this to prepare myself to make a garden dedicated to medicinal plants. The first year was pretty ordinary, but in Year 2 was better prepared ... I have many books on organic farming, the interrelationships between plants and so on. Here is a picture of the garden of the year 2:
This year marked my return to paganism, I prepared a magical garden in honor of my patron goddess: Gaia. I've used all my knowledge of mathematics, magic and geomancy. Here's how I prepared my magic garden:
1 .- Each of pots used, each of the seeds used, every drop of water used, each grain of compost (one I am ... not commercial) to sowing and planting were cleansed, blessed and consecrated and then cleaned with the help of my patron goddess Gaia.
2 .- When the snow melts and when the ground permit, I tilled the soil in the direction Thuathail to clean and release the energy of the soil and plants (weeds) present. I labored in this direction several times. Before each round, I consulted my self-superior to see if I should continue. Then came the moment when there was no need to plow into Thuathail ... It was quite reassuring :-)
3 .- So I dug into the ground in the direction déosil to increase and charge the earth energy. Again, before each time I looked my self-superior until the soil was sufficiently charged to be working ... In this case, it was much faster to load than the energy of the ground to unload.
4 .- Again in the direction déosil I purified and cleaned the floor and I blessed and consecrated the ground with the help of my patron goddess.
5 .- At the center of the tilled area is a young plum tree planted there last year by the hands of my father ... A maniac trees :-) Of course, I cleaned purrifié, blessed and consecrated as the rest of the garden. It's part of the magic garden. It is the heart. At the foot of this tree, we made an offering ... A beta fish ... Combination of circumstances (no of chance), goldfish my daughter was sick and now scraping by on one side or the other. At the request of my daughter, I did a ritual accompanying the dying and then a ritual of planting ... at the foot of the tree ... No need to go buy you a goldfish to make your garden :-) this is a contest circonstence ... In short, this fish-offering is also part of the garden-magic.
6 .- I had to decide on the form that I give to the garden. In a typical garden, it is elevated rows (Seillons) separated by about 30cm to allow the land to drain and avoid the heavy rains innondent foot plants. Last year, I designed a garden from concentric circles to take advantage of the synergy between plants. The idea is not mine. It comes from the garden of my life official supplier of essential oils and Mikael Zayat probably Véronik Tanguay ( http://www.jardindevie.com/index.php?include=academie ). In short, I found the brilliant idea ... This year, for my enchanted garden, I chose an even more efficient use of space Toutenant e retaining the advantage of synergy between plants: A spiral ... The spiral is a pagan symbol was recognized very old and perhaps for two reasons: Optimal use of space and synergy of plants and the link with the wheel this year. For my part, this spiral had to be in line to load déosil energy plants. Furthermore, it should start in the east, as I trace the circle and that I welcome the Airt.
7 .- How to make a spiral shape with a wheel ... a kind of block that I designed and whose diameter is the distance between the desired Seillons (30 cm). Knowing that the mathematical formula for calculating the circumference of a circle is 2 x Pi x radius, I have deduced that the radius of the pulley design should be equal to the distance between Seillons divided by 2 x Pi Using adjusted the compat grandur this range, I could draw a circle on a wooden board, which I then cut out. Then I cut two circles a little larger in order to design a pulley. Here are photos:
We see that there is a hole in the circle of the pulley ... We see it less, however, is cut in half. This allowed me to set up around the trunk of young plum. I fixed a rope in the pulley (a bit like a yoyo ... yoyo big ...).
8 .- Using a compass. I planted wooden poles to the four cardinal corners, centered on the plum (and tubes).
9 .- Using a stick (the handle of my pick), I traced the spiral to the ground. To do this, I placed the handle to the east of plum and I have attached the other end of the rope. I moved around the block to the south, then west and finally north to adjust the length of the rope. Then I went back east and began to trace the spiral on the ground.
10 .- Using the pick, I built the Seillon, a kind of mound for the drainage of rain water, following the route on the ground. The result:
11 .- Then came the work of geomancy, and synergy s'avoisinnant plants. The first concern is to help plants increase their rate of essential oils while protecting them. The plant of choice for these tasks is valerian. Like many things, depending on the plant area in contrast to human and animal world ... Valerian makes plants strong and alert while asleep and tranquilizer humans :-). I had to then determine where to plant the seed of valerian. What's better than a pentagram grounder to concentrate and energy (Optimal Energy Control). So I opted to plant seedlings of valerian to each point of the pentagram. Using a compass, I marked the location where the plants should be positioned on the Seillon farthest from the center of the spiral, ie at 0, 72, 144, 216 and 288 degrees relative to the trunk of Plum (every 72 degrees - 360 divided by 5). Here is a view of the horizon of the pentagram of valerian, a point which is oriented due north:
12 .- Then by consulting my self-education (some prefer to use the clock), I established for each plant their best geomantic positioning relative to the plum (North, Northeast, etc.).. Subsequently, I had to confirm, once again by visiting my self-superior affinities between each type of plant. It was a work worthy of a technical study :-) Here are my sketches in this work:
13 .- Can I planted all my planting of medicinal plants taking care to respect the geomancy and affinities. When I water them or feed them into compost, all ingredients are purified and cleansed and blessed and consecrated.
14 .- When the plants were in the ground, I conducted a ritual blessing of the garden and pray to Gaia for her to take care of plants, protect and nurture it to be beautiful and strong and they bring eu harvest.
15 .- To control weeds (Gaia is generous even for unwanted plants), I extended the cedar mulch around plants and between Seillons. The control of unwanted critters is almost quotidiennment manually. When I find bugs, I destroyed them, taking care of a prayer, their indicating that it has no place in this sacred place and I wish them a safe journey to the primary energy. I appreciate the energy that their body will envelope to Gaia Gaia and ask to use that energy wisely.
16 .- For the four cardinal corners (where I had planted stems) and at the foot of Plum (center of the spiral), I introduced flat stones that allow me to install the candles symbolizing the Airt.
short, the results are exceptional. Chamomile, peppermint, milk thistle, lemon balm, verbena, wort, mallow, the Lavender ... have a fragrance, color and productivitté incredible ... This is especially surprising that this summer has brought much more rain than normally required by these plants.
Milk Thistle (west) is particularly impressive. With one seed, I counted today twenty flower buds to come. Normally, I got up to 5 per plant. If the milk thistle was recognized for energy purposes such as corn (which is fairly contested), we could derive a very attractive return. For each of milk thistle seed that I planted, I got a plant yield of 100%. But in my magic garden, the plant's current performance is extremely impressive. One last photo with the magic garden (as it is today ... I harvest chamomile, mint, lemon balm and Vervain for a month and the wort begins to bloom - a week late but the magnitude of blooming flowers is impressive ... it promises ...)
If you want see Gaio, happy and at peace, imagine sharing the wine with the fairies, in full communion with the mother-goddess, surrounded by fireflies in her magical garden one evening of full moon with clear skies.
